BluePenguin to deliver smoother vendor payments for Mastercard’s small and medium sized businesses

ALPHARETTA, GA — BluePenguin and Mastercard announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership to deliver Virtual Commercial Payment transactions through BluePenguin’s reseller channels to Mastercard merchants.

“In the B2B ePayables category, businesses are looking for more efficient, less fractious ways to pay their invoices and automate their AP processes,” said Steve Boyer, CEO of BluePenguin. “Mastercard provides our clients with products that help us execute against these challenges and allows us to deliver and price services to our network of resellers and customers in compelling ways.”

BluePenguin’s proprietary platform will allow small and medium sized businesses to pay vendor bills easily to Mastercard merchants.

“Our goal has always been to disrupt the market status quo by democratizing the ways in which all commercial customers, not just the Fortune 1000, pay their vendor bills. It is important that we deliver the correct products and pricing to allow adoption to grow into giant waves instead of the trickle that this category has been experiencing,” Boyer said. “Mastercard will play a key role in this evolving strategy for us.”
